Officer MacInnis is a 1992 graduate of Montoursville area High school. Upon graduation "Mac" served several years in the U.S. Navy on board the U.S.S. Forrestal, and the U.S.S. John F. Kennedy.

MacInnis returned to the area and worked at a few local businesses before attending Mansfield University Municipal Police Academy. Upon completion of the Police academy "Mac" was employed by the Borough of Duboistown as a Patrolman. "Mac" is also currently employed as a Police Officer by the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
